Song Scoring Sometimes a song needs to written and printed out in a score form for other musicians to read for a session, publication, etc.. I offer this service. It is a very time consuming process and I do not offer it at a discount rate. I use a combination of Finalé and handwritten symbols to achieve this. |
Cost of Scoring To figure the price of your score, multiply the length of your song by $75.00/minute. (i.e. a 4 minute song will cost $300.00 to have put into a lead sheet form. A 2.5 minute song would cost $187.50). A lead sheet is a melody line with chord symbols above, like you would find in a "fake book". $150.00 deposit for song scoring Balance will be due when score is complete, at time of delivery. You'll receive two copies of the score, suitable for copyright purposes as well as readable by any musician with an understanding of a "lead sheet". |
Important: Pleaset have your song completely finished and presented on a recording. CD is best (we can record it quickly here if you have no recording of you singing it). If I have to "finish" your song, either words or music, I will then be considered co-writer on your song and the song will belong to both of us. Songwriting and scoring are two
different tasks. I'd be happy to help you with either, but I
will require my songwriting capabilities receive proper credit and
compensation. |
